Important Dates:

Upward Flag Football™ & Cheerleading registration is now open!

Our Upward Flag Football™ includes a boys’ league and a girls’ league for players entering K4 through 6th grades in the 2013-2014 school year. 

Practices are on either Tuesday or Thursday.

Games are on Saturdays, September 7 – October 19, 2013.

Every player must attend one of these evaluations: 

  • Saturday June 15, 2013 between 9-10:30am.   
  • Saturday July 20, 2013 between 9-10:30am.

Evaluations, practices, and games are held at the GVTC Communications Complex  29064 Bulverde Rd.   SA, TX  78260.

Coach Application

 

How It Works
  • It’s an awesome opportunity for boys to learn the skills of football while learning to look Upwards to the love of Christ at the same time.
  • A computer program splits the teams evenly, and players guard a player of his own ability.
  • Every player plays the same amount of time, and every player will start a game.
  • One 1-hour practice each week.
  • Each child can earn a star at practice for memorizing his/her memory verse.
  • Each child gets a star at the end of each game.
  • Players are introduced through a tunnel with music and a standing ovation each week at the games.
  • Testimony cards are distributed at half time of every game

Each football player will receive:

  • A Reversible game jersey
  • Shorts
  • A Play calling wristband
  • A Flag belt and flags
  • Car Magnet
  • Scripture Learning Cards
  • Award stars (given to player’s coach for distribution)
  • End of the season award given to every player at Awards Night

Who: Girls entering K4-6th grade in the 2013-14 school year.

Every Cheerleader must attend one of these orientations for information and uniform fitting at GVTC Communications Sportsplex 29064 Bulverde Rd  78260:

Saturday June 15  9-10:30am   or   Saturday July 20  9-10:30am

Practices are held once a week on either Monday or Thursday at Community Bible Church .

Cheerleaders will cheer for the Flag Football games on Saturdays at the GVTC Communications Sportsplex  29064 Bulverde Rd.  SA, TX  78260  from Sept. 7, 2013 – Oct. 19, 2013
