Upward Flag Football™

Upward Flag Football™ offers a Flag Football league for boys and girls 4 years old – 8th grade.   Flag football is a growing alternative to full-contact

football that teaches basic skills and concepts of the game.  Upward Flag Football programs are designed to introduce young athletes to the game while providing a safe environment to grow in the sport.

Flag Football Details:

  • Registration will open in May.
  • For boys and girls 4 years old – 8th grade. Practice and games are held off-campus at GVTC Complex – 29064 Bulverde Road, San Antonio, Texas  78260.
  • Please note: Friend, coach requests, and car-pooling requests are not guaranteed. Please understand that our priority is to balance teams as evenly as possible to make the experience a positive one for all. Thank you for your understanding.
  • Evaluations help us determine each athlete’s skill level. All players are highly encouraged to attend one evaluation
    • Evaluation 1: July 6 between 5:30 – 7pm at CBC Emmitt Park
  • Practices begin August 8/10 2023 and are on either Tuesdays or Thursdays. Your child will be assigned to either Tuesday or Thursday and will play on this day throughout the season.
  • Games are from August 19 – October 10 and are on Saturday mornings at GVTC Complex.
  • Practices and Games are held at GVTC Sportsplex.
  • Cost is $129 for early registration. $155 for late registration after July 6.
  • Meet the Coach event is on Monday, July 31 at 6pm at Community Bible Church in the Main Sanctuary.
    • This is where you will meet your athlete’s team coach, receive your uniform and flags, game schedule, as well as learn about important details and information.
  • Community Project – TBD

Each Player Receives:

  • Reversible game jersey.
  • Shorts.
  • Flag belt and flags.
  • Scripture Learning Cards
